Equality

kia ora in this presentation I will be talking about my explanation about what equality is and why is it important.

equality is about ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity at making the most of their lives. No one should have poorer life chances or disadvantages and be discriminated because of the way they were born, where they come from, what they believe or whether they have a disability.

An example that supports why equality is so important is an event that took place earlier this year. The BlM protest that took place in America. The message the people were trying to point out was that there was a huge difference between black and white people. Everyone was not equal and this is why equality plays a huge part into our lives. From this even it clearly shows how some of society is being treated. Everyone should have a bit of equality within themselves and we should be treatign  people like how we want to be treated.

In conclusion something that we should all learn is to have a bit of equality within us and we should accept others for who they are not what they look like.

Wellington trip

Kia ora, During this time i would like to share about the trip i was fortunate enough to be involved in. On the 16th of November 9R and a few other students including me went on a 3-day trip to wellington. It started off by leaving Bay of Islands college 6am sharp straight to Auckland where we then caught the plain down to wellington. In Wellington we visited the National Library, Parliament and Te Papa, we stayed at the YHA hostel which was just across the road to the Museum Te Papa. On the last day we took the time to go play bowling  at the Bowlarama, then took the plain back to Auckland where we took the bus back home. Throughout the whole trip i really enjoyed spending this trip with 9R they were absolute amazing people, and everyone was able to get along really well. I have learnt a lot of things down there from books to ancient items, buildings, politics and was even able to spot and meet Famous people. I hope to see others have this opputunity to exprience the things i did and be able to see the things i saw. Tena koutou

Classification pamphlet

Kia ora , In science we have been learning about communities and classification and in this time i would like to share some of my work. I have been given the opportunity to make a pamphlet that would be donated to the information centre in Kawakawa and Paihia. This pamphlet talks about our Native trees such as our kauri, kowhai, etc. And just gives a summary of what the tree is.

Being Cybersmart

I think being Cybersmart is a very important role in terms of social media. I think this because Cybersmart can help you keep a good reputation and future career online for you. Being Cybersmart helps you keep high privacy so nobody can access any of your online personal belongings, and being Cybersmart can also protect you from unwanted websites or people on social media. eg.hackers, spam etc.

Some examples of being Cybersmart is keeping a good password so nobody can hack into your account,Knowing how to take screenshots of evidence and report it if someone or something uses threats against you. Being kind to others on social media and not spreading any negative stuff about or to anyone and always keep on the positive side of the internet.

In my opinion Cybersmart is a good way to kick your online reputation/career off on a good start and also keep you safe and protected from any viruses or spam or any threats from the internet, and i think being Cybersmart will keep you in the positive side of social media.
